hana | 22:10 | 0 Comments |
Whoever needs an all in one face cleanser, here I shared to you about the magic Shu Uemura skin refining cleansing oil. I was first introduced to this magic face cleanser by my good friend during my wedding time. Ya...you know with the full makeup and so on.

No worries...wear makeup on your big day or on every day. This cleanser will solve your problem..:)

This cleanser helps me a lot, and I meant a lot you !! First, it removes the makeup, totally second it will keep your face moisture and take care of your skin too. As I have this dry skin plus with the kids as well as at this stage of age, I mean. You need to have one thing that does all. Nowadays I am now not so into having to have all the range of the products .to face it one by one using all the step by step products. Not into that zone anymore.:)

By using this Anti/Oxi skin refining cleansing oil from Shu Uemura, all you need is just put a little bit on your hand and rub it up on your face. Then you add some water, and it will turn the oily liquid to bubble. And the magic result happens..:).

It does not have drying, sticky, heavy, pulling, drying and whatsoever called effect that other cleansers might have. I think you also experience that too. It also encourages you to do some light massage to the face as well as take out all the dirt and pollution that we face everyday.huh!!Plus it is lasting a long time too.1 bottle can last till 3-4 months. Isn't that value of money. I found that also.

Remember to consult with the beautician at the counter first. They have a range of skin cleanser type, and this suited me most. You can also try by using the small bottle size first to try it on your skin.

Classic Fluffy Doughnut Recipe

hana | 23:01 | 1 Comments |

It's entering cold season now. I thought of doing some classic doughnyt that goes with a cup of tea or perhaps some coffee.

The ingredients:
  • 500g plain flour
  • 2 tablespoon or (6g) instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of shortening (I don't use in this session)
  • 50g unsalted butter/margarine
  • 2 tablespoon  sugar
  • 2 teaspoon condense milk/milk powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 small spoon salt
  • 200ml warm water(not so hot)
  • castor sugar or melting chocolate for topping (up to you)

 Directions:
  1. 1 Put the warm water- then pour into a big bowl. Add in yeast and then whisk. Follows by the 2 sugar, milk, margarine/unsalted butter and shortening (if you have it). Whisk all together to mix well then let it sit to rising and bubbles for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Once yeast bubbled up, sift half of the flour into the mix. Also, add the egg together.
  3. Mix well until it becomes a firm, soft dough where it doesn't stick anywhere else. Depend on the size of the egg, if needed add 1-2 tbsp flour to stabilise the dough
  4. Add the rest of the sifted flour. You can use a bread maker to mix the ingredient. But I just use my hand.
  5. Put aside, cover with a kitchen towel or kitchen plastic wrap & let it rest for minimum 45 minutes and not more than 60 minutes to raise double.
  6. Sift some flour on your kneading spot and soak your hand with some meal before taking out the dough.
  7. Take out the dough and roll to about 1-inch thick and cut with a doughnut cutter or alt you can use any jar lid to cut them,(I use the small cup) into a round shape and any smaller round plastic bottle to cut the centre hole
  8. Let it sit again for at least 15 minutes/max 20 minutes to raised double back, or when you lift them, they are more fluffy and lighter
  9. Preheat cooking oil in a generous size pan.  adjust to the  heat later when frying your raw doughnut, so it cooked evenly out and inside until they become golden brownish
  10.  When it becomes golden brownish, remove from the oiled pan into a strainer.
  11. Let it dry down some oil and then dip or sprinkle a fine sugar and its ready to be served.
  12. You can use chocolate and sprinkle too on top.
Waiting for the yeast to bubble

Then add the flour.

This dough after rested for about 30 minutes.

Cut the dough into a small circle using a small cup (you can use doughnut cutter if you have one)

Please excuse the look as this is done with my little chef :)

Fry the doughnut!

Ready to eat! :)

Review: Myteksi. Is it reliable? Safe? Easy?

hana | 01:37 | 0 Comments |

Just to share one of my favourite apps on the phone. I have always been wanted to write about it. Now I have the chance. Have you heard about Myteksi? Yeah. A proper application when you need a driver at a time. First impression from me? Is it working? Or is it safe? So far I have used the services quite some time while I am in Malaysia. Usually when no one can fetch me or I need to go somewhere, and I am in somewhere in the middle of a place where it is hard to find a taxi and need to walk to a place that a lot of cabbies to catch, I will use this great app. Even when you are at your house and lazy to walk a little bit to catch a cab on the main road, this is a great bonus to use. But what can I say is booking a taxi has never been convenient and easy with Myteksi. How does it work? First, you need to download it whether through Google apps if you are using Android or IOS if you are using an iPhone. Then register your name and your phone number. Then now you can book your taxi ^^ As simple as that.

At the screen where you can choose when is the time to pick you up, the estimated price that the taxi will charge you and you can select the type of cab you want. For me in term of safety, so far it is safe, you will receive the taxi phone number and the taxi plate number. So you can send to your closest person you want. In case you left your things behind you can call back the number unless he is not an honest person.

First, find the app in Google apps for Android.

Then after you have registered, you pick your place from where to where.

Then you can see the estimated fare and select the pickup time.

There you can select the time.

Tadaaaa. They have found a taxi for you. Together they have given the phone number and the taxi plate number.

The details. You can also cancel your booking with the provided button.

If they cannot find any taxi, they will inform, and you can try again. Usually, if it is a peak hour time, it is advisable you booked earlier for example after office hours where car stuck in the traffic jam like forever :) For me, so far this apps helps me a lot when you need a taxi. It is secure, safe and reliable. Hope this can help you out there :)

Riding a bus in our new place, Cardiff.

hana | 05:43 | 0 Comments |

Last Sunday, I succeeded influencing my husband to go and buy groceries in one of the infamous hypermarket here in Cardiff. So we try to figure out how to go there. If we were to rent a car that should be a valuable place or we need to plan to go somewhere correctly. If we have to take a taxi which I know that my husband will not agree on that. So the best solution is using a bus, yeah.. plus with the pushchair and our 2 anxious daughters.

Oh man. I need to suit my self then. This is our first attempt to ride a bus to a place here in Cardiff. But since the prices there in ASDA is a good value for money, as we think. So we took that chance to give it a try. I surf the webpage first to get the idea of where to get the bus and also the time of the bus will arrive.

When we reached the bus stop, we noticed that the timing of the bus is different when on Sunday. Huh. Okay. That is the first lesson. Pity to my kids they have to wait around 30 minutes. My fault children. Mama felt sorry. It is cold that morning. While waiting I reasoning my plan to go to buy groceries with my husband. I know he also felt that we have made a mistake to go there. I explained myself, nevermind we try it first if not we never know, after this, I can go by myself and the list go on. He just nodded agreed, I think :)

I remember before we went out, he had suggested me to buy through online, but I come out with so many reasons to go there. Hehe. But I need to praise for the accurate time arrival given in the schedule stuck there :)

After we have done our grocery things. I try to find what the next scheduled time of the bus will arrive at the hypermarket. It is so important since we are bringing our children together if you understand what I meant :) So I found this website where showing the schedule of the bus. Ahahah
If you are a person who is a concern on time, on the go and who need to plan earlier on time to ride a bus go to https://www.cardiffbus.com

Work from Home in Cardiff

hana | 05:17 | 0 Comments |

I have been a full-time housewife here in Cardiff since we go here recently. After working for quite some time, my mind is always full of the thought of what should I do while I was looking after my girls.

I just went through gumtree a website same like mudah.com to find a suitable job while at home. But none of it seems practical or safe. I want to avoid any scam or untrusted thing since I am not in my place. Maybe I can become a babysitter, perhaps not. It is quite scared to think of taking care of other people kids. Perhaps I can become a childminder. It's sound okay to me, but here you need to register somewhere. I am not too sure about that.

Mmm. Maybe I should try this. My friends suggested me to do online business. So I was just looking around the town and some surfing. Thanks to the internet. So I have decided to open a page to sell things from the UK. I just give it a try. It is fun. At least I can just go shopping for them. It like a personal shopper thing.

Do follow me on my facebook page to have more view about shopin_ukwithlove or my Instagram shopin_ukwithlove. Besides the picture that I uploaded in the page, you can also request to find what you want from here. A lot of brand here, e.g., Andrew James, Tefal, Portmeirion, Cosatto, Royal Albert, Dr Martens, Clarks, Cath Kidston, Gap, Pumpkin Kids and many more. I will shop and ship all the way from here in the UK to Malaysia. Do not forget to follow!

We Found our House !

hana | 19:42 | 0 Comments |

It has been so long since the day we arrived here in Cardiff. So I can say that we have found our new home. It is not ours by the way dear. Everybody here has given us a warm welcome and is it freezing right now Autumn to Winter. If you are new or you have no idea on the house to rent in the United Kingdom, you may try rightmove.com or Zoopla or 2let2.com.
As a newcomer, you might want to have a look at the house first before you decide on the house to rent. We choose to let the Malaysian in Cardiff search for us first before we come. Specific house agent over here wanted to have a few months of deposits before for the agreement before you go to the house. If you are lucky like us, we deal directly with the landlord in here. So he only requests for one month deposit in advance.
After some thought of the budget and distance to my hubby school in Uni. Cardiff, we chose Despenser Street. Furthermore, it is opposite the park and the playground. So I can bring my daughters there to have some chill time. We have been introduced to places such as Asda, car boot, the city and lots more. Since it is cold, it is cosy for us to walk to town which will on 10-15 minutes walk.
The cost of living here about the same with our hometown but it is in pound. So please do not always do conversion every time. It is right here as Halal food store is easy to find here and if not you look for any vegetarian label at the product. So far life here is excellent. I guess I would be a master cook as I have to cook every day :) to serve our desired food. But not to worry there are many shops to buy food delivery or take away. Suit yourself then. Okay. Since I am here do like my Facebook page Shopin_ukwithlove or my Instagram shopin_ukwithlove. A lot of brands and of course you can request too to buy any brand from the UK. Alright!

The girls are enjoying their park time.
